Who are we ?

Carpenters experienced in Design and Construction using traditional methods that have stood the test of time. We believe that the quality of workmanship undertaken centuries ago should still be upheld in today's buildings. All our Carpenters have undertaken many years of training to achieve standards that we are proud of.

How can these Traditional Building Techniques be incorporated in to my contemporary build ? We can design frames form Extensions, Porches, Conservatories, Balconies and Outdoor buildings. as well as the main structure of a new build. We can also incorporate a Post & Beam element to your kit house.

One of the great advantages of heavy timber construction is it's flexibility. Openings can be left bigger than a standard build for they are usually lighter. We try to incorporate this in to our work to minimize the impact on it's surroundings.

Costs and Budget

Are the costs going to ruin my budget ? It's easy to get carried away when designing the home of your dreams, and yes it is easy to spend more than you anticipated, But there are many ways to make the addition of Timber of Timber Framing cost effective (remember the frame is Load-Bearing) For this reason we prefer to be involved at the early stages of the build. Preferably we would wish to discuss the concept with your architect.

If you are not intending to build from scratch but would like to enhance you're existing home by adding, A Conservatory, Balcony, Porch, Extension, with glazed gable, etc. Then we will be happy to advise you on Design and Suitability, We can also provide drawings for Planning Consent / Building Warrant.
